Halidon’s sustainability strategy aims to find new business models to allow the company to generate value for its stakeholders whilst preserving the Earth’s natural resources. We strive for sustainability on an economic, social, and environmental level, and that is why we’ve committed to offering environmentally friendly products to our clients, nurturing our human resources, working with suppliers whose sustainable practices match our own, and supporting local communities.
Since the start of 2022, we have been significantly cutting down our plastic use for physical products, only using celluloid to package our CDs and vinyl records. We have also obtained the FSC Mix certification stating that the materials we use support responsible forestry.
In May 2022, we launched a collaboration with Treedom to grow the very first Halidon forest in Latin America and Africa to offset our carbon emissions and support the communities who care for the trees.
By the end of 2022, in collaboration with Impala, we are going to calculate our carbon footprint to set off on a journey to achieve net-zero emissions in the next two years.
On the social front, thanks to a total subscription count of almost four million, we are currently promoting a fundraiser on YouTube to help support the cause of Save the Children.
